At 80 & 90 Sherbourne St., the Imperial Lofts is actually two separate buildings, each with its own unique character that have been joined together in one loft conversion project.The three-storey yellow brick Art Deco Loft dates from the 1930s, and functioned originally as offices for the Imperial Optical Company. Located right in the heart of downtown, these Toronto lofts are great for live/work, live-in and office at Adelaide and Sherbourne. With high ceilings and oversized windows they are bright and airy spaces. | 
The six-storey portion of the Imperial Lofts features original exposed wood post and beam, sandblasted exposed red brick walls, and maple floors. It is an older structure dating from the early 1900s. 90 Sherbourne boasts an antique passenger elevator, and separate freight elevator. Exposed ducts, pipes and columns give this residence a real industrial feel. The project was registered in 1998. Units in the Imperial Lofts range from studio units, to two bedroom and two bath layouts. Some ground floor units feature a direct-access out. |
